Baycliff’s Fall Festival will continue this year with three different ways to participate in the fun! There will be a Drive-Thru Chili Cook-off, Ride For Treats on Saturday, October 17th from 3:30-5:30pm (rain date Sunday, October 18th, same time) and a Halloween Home Decorating Contest for neighbors to enjoy throughout the month. Pre-registration is required by Wednesday Oct. 14th for the Drive Thru-Chili Cook-off and Ride For Treats. The Chili Cook-off is $5 per person. All proceeds go to the Baycliff Civic League.

 

How it works:

Chili Cook-off: Volunteer chili chefs serve up their chilis in to-go containers provide by the BCL with their number on the lid from their driveway. Participants walk, bike or ride to the boat ramp, pay $5 for a map of Baycliff with a chili icon and number marking which houses are serving.  Please follow the numbers in chronological order, as the pre-planned route will ease congestion. After collecting the numbered chilis, participants can take them to their home, taste test and vote for their favorite by depositing their ballot (which is on the back side of the map) in the Baycliff mailbox (to the right of the boat ramp entrance). Masks are required for all participants and chili chefs. 

 

Ride for Treats: Volunteers hand out candy, craft kits or individually wrapped baked goods to participants from their driveway. Participants will collect a map at the boat ramp locating participating houses with a candy corn icon and number. Please follow the numbers in chronological order, as the pre-planned route will ease congestion. Walk, bike or drive from house to house collecting goodies. Masks are required for all participants.

 

Halloween Decorating Contest: Decorate your home for Halloween and win a prize for best home! (We’ve eliminated the categories). Register your home by Wednesday, October 14th by email with your address and you will be placed on a map with a jack-o-lantern icon for neighbors to visit at their leisure. Vote for your favorite by Oct. 30th. Winner will be announced on Halloween.
